Sebastian (Sam) Ingraldi

February 19, 1956 ~ June 8, 2025

Sebastian (Sam) Ingraldi, 69, of Mississauga, ON, passed away on June 8, 2025 at Mississauga Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 19, 1956 in the village of Vita, Sicily, Italy, Sam was the cherished son of Baldassarre and Filippa Ingraldi. In 1964, he immigrated to Toronto with his parents, and shortly after, welcomed his younger brother, Francesco (Frank) into the world. Together, they joined their cousins, aunts, and uncles, forming strong family ties that endured throughout Sam’s life.

A self-taught and gifted mechanic, Sam owned and operated his own automotive repair shop for 36 years. Located in Toronto’s Kingsway neighbourhood, his shop quickly became a beloved fixture in the community. He was deeply respected and trusted; not just for his skill and work ethic, but for the generosity he showed to his staff, customers, and local sports teams he proudly supported.

Sam was happiest spending time with his loved ones, and at his cottage on Lake Muskoka where he spent his time boating, barbequing, fixing anything and everything, and relaxing by the water. He was an avid golfer and connoisseur of home-cooked Italian food. But what Sam was best known for was his incredible kindness and generosity. He was always there to quietly support his friends and family through good times and bad, never wanting anything in return. He was a warm and welcoming host who loved gathering people together, hosting large social events at his home with special foods, wines, and champagne for any milestone. His legendary annual Sardine Tournament, weekly poker games, and countless birthday and holiday celebrations will be fondly remembered.

Sam is survived by his partner Dina; children Stephanie (Thomas), Christina, and Michael and their mother Anna; his adored granddaughter Eva; Dina’s children Michelle, Katherine, and David; brother Frank (Mary); mother; and many loving extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his father and his son-in-law, Dean. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 17, 2025, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3055 Bloor Street W, Etobicoke, ON.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Liver Canada in Sam’s memory.

Dear Sam, you lived a big life and are leaving a big hole in our hearts. Your distinct voice and laughter, your loving heart for family and friends, and your boundless generosity kept us all close to you. You always gave and never asked in return. The definition of a true friend since 1966.
The best gift one can give another is their time and Sam you gave your time in abundance to many. Wish we could have had much more.
Love truly never dies but changes – you were loved before you were born, loved more as you grew into a beautiful man, and even more now in our hearts filled with loving memories of you.
Round up friends in heaven and deal the deck!
