Savell, Donald Vincent
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather Don Savell at the age of 68. Dad was born in Toronto, Ontario on August 22, 1947 where he spent all his years with family and friends. He was a man of many careers and took much pride in helping others at work and in the neighborhood. Many will remember him, as Dad was a very social person who enjoyed meeting new people and became loved by all he met.
Don leaves to mourn his father Jessie, children Kim (Mitch), Chris (Jacqueline), grandchildren Joel (Brook), Brett, Brady, Josh, Bailey, Quinn, Logan and great grandson Mason James. Dad now joins his mother Muriel, Brother Barry, Booger the cat and very good friends Freddy French Fry and Green Frog.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday July 16th, 2016 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery Chapel (737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga) with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Humane Society or Cancer Care at the Credit Valley Hospital are greatly appreciated.
You will be greatly missed Don. I loved our talks, your jokes, kindness and the help you never hesitated to provide. Whether it was during a get together with friends and neighbors or in the middle of your bike ride to the store, you never hesitated to chat with a big smile on your face. Your proud stories of your kids and grandkids showed your love of family. Thank-you for your friendship. RIP.
Love Chris, Matt and Luc

Don was a very special man, as anyone who ever met him can recall. His wild and silly side is the one that I will remember most but I was also grateful for his down to earth words of wisdom. He was always there for his family and friends, giving advice or moral support where needed. I had the pleasure of working with Don for many years but valued our friendship for many more. I will miss him so much. We shared a love of cats and I certainly was entertained by Boogers latest adventures. Thanks, Don, for being such a good friend…….I will think of you often and remember you fondly.
The picture is how I will always remember you Don. Devilish to the bone!! Will miss your smiling face around the office, it will take some time for us to get used to not having you here.

Beautiful sentiments for such a wonderful guy! I had the pleasure of working with Don for several years at Assante and he will be sadly missed. He was a jokester, fun, silly, always a smile on his face. But as much as he could laugh he also had a good sense of wisdom about life. We shared the love of cats, his Booger & my Fred. Already his lack of presence if felt. RIP Don, you will be missed. xoxo Angie Richardson
