Suddenly on March 22, 2021 Nora Jean Robbins relocated from her home on
earth to her home in heaven with her Saviour.
Nora was born in Toronto, Ontario on August 13, 1927 and was the beloved
wife of George for 68 years until his death last year.
Deeply loved by her children, Donna (Jim) Burkholder, David Robbins,
Darlene (Larry) Holderman, and grandchildren Kevin (Rebekah) Burkholder,
Beth (Free) Toda, Amanda (Dan) Jeffries, Sarah Burkholder (fiancé Dan
Arnold), Michael (Holly) Burkholder, Matthew (Rebekah) Holderman, Daniel
(Jodi) Burkholder and great grandchildren Alexis Jeffries, Brigham
Burkholder, Malachi Toda, Joel Burkholder, Drew Burkholder and Joshua Toda.
Nora is pre-decreased by her husband George, parents Clare and Irene
Maughan and her two brothers Donald Maughan (and wife Frances) and Ross
Maughan (and wife Jessie).
From a young teen to well into her 80’s, she loved serving both
children and youth. She served as a leader in Sunday school, Youth
Ministries, Children’s Ministries, Vacation Bible School, and Day Camp,
but her greatest passion was working as the director of the Master’s
Hands Puppet Team.
She never felt that she was old enough for a senior’s discount, or to
attend the “Super 60’s” group at church.
In her spare time at home, she enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts and
scrapbooking.
A private family burial will be taking place at Williamsburg Cemetery.
Our thanks to Tranquility Burial and Cremation Services for their
compassionate care during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations to
First Baptist Church, Waterloo, where Nora was a long time member, would
be appreciated.
