Arthur Randolf Rines (Randy)
May 4, 1956 – November 16, 2024
Arthur Randolf Rines (Randy) 68, of Toronto passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 16th 2024.
A devoted husband, father, and outdoorsman, Randy was known for his love of nature, his steadfast determination, and his unwavering commitment to his family.
Born on May 4 1956, Randy spent much of his life in the great outdoors, whether camping, fishing, or simply enjoying the quiet serenity of the wilderness. His fondness for nature was only matched by his love for his family. Randy was devoted to his wife Patricia for 38 years, a partnership built on love, respect, and countless shared memories.
Stubborn in the best sense of the word, Randy was a man who stood firm in his beliefs, worked hard for everything he had, and always put his family first. A man of few words Randy showed those in his life his love through acts of service, leaving no stone unturned to provide what his loved ones wanted or needed.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia, his children, Ariane (Tim) and Cody (Rachel). His grandchildren, Emma, Benjamin and Joel. His siblings, Elwood (Jean), Russ ( Robin) and Wendy ( Terry).
Randy will be missed by the many lives he touched. His dry sense of humour, love for the Toronto Maple Leafs and strong but quiet presence will be remembered fondly.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Parks Canada, to give others an opportunity to celebrate and enjoy our outdoors like Randy did.
Though Randy’s time with us was too short, his legacy and memory will live on through his children, his grandchildren whom he adored and all the lives he touched along the way.
