Just two days shy of her 75th birthday, passed away Friday August 22nd 2025, peacefully at Stedman Hospice, surrounded by love. She was the devoted wife of Scott Richards, proud mom to Chris and Melanie, loving grandmother to Ethan, and dear sister of Peter Balfour.

Heather had a way of lighting up any room she entered—often with a story, a laugh, or a plate of something delicious she insisted you “just try.” She cherished family above all else, and her happiest moments were spent gathered around a table, sharing food, laughter, and plenty of love.

Though her time was cut short, Heather filled her years generously—with kindness, humour, and the gift of making everyone feel welcome. Her family takes comfort knowing that her love will continue to ripple through their lives in every shared smile, every hug, and every batch of her infamous cheese cubes and mushroom rolls.
