Radford, Edna –
August 4, 1922 – August 13, 2016
Mother of Keith, Anthea, John, Lisa and Paul, and beloved wife of the late Charles (Jack) Radford passed away peacefully at the age of 94. She will be greatly missed by her children, her surviving siblings Irene, Una, Margaret and George, her nieces and nephews; Peter, Kenneth, Margaret, Nancy and Catherine, and her grandchildren, Keith, Colleen, Mark, Craig, Erin, James and John. A veteran of WWII, Edna served throughout the duration of the War with the Women’s Airforce in England, where she met her beloved Jack (Canadian pilot) and came to Canada as a war bride. We will always remember and love her. Special thanks to the care team at Sheridan Villa. Edna will be cremated and after a private ceremony, join Jack and daughter Lisa in their resting place in Windsor, Ontario. Edna lived a very full and happy life, and we are grateful for that and for the fact that she now rests in peace.
Keith, Anthea, John & Paul,
Aunt Edna is certainly at peace. When I remember your Mum I picture her always dressed to the ‘nines’ when entertaining and not so much when busying herself keeping house. Good memories of visits to your homes in Windsor and fun times cottaging. Cherish the good times & memories. Nancy Flynn (Conklin)
Anthea, my thoughts are with you and your family. I remember your mom as elegant and kind, Eileen Hayes Truckle
Keith and family; So sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved mother. May your memories of her comfort you at this time. She was a beautiful lady! Charles and Bonnie Nickleson and family
Condolences to Family and Friends.
Edna will long be remembered by staff and visitors at the Villa. She loved to chat about the Royal Family, the Air Force and her family. She loved her tea, ice cream and chocolate. She liked to wear pearls. She charmed visitors in the dining room. She welcomed me like a family friend when visiting this last year and half since my retirement. Her memory brings a smile.
Betty RN.
Keith & Family,
I am glad to hear she lived a full and happy life. She was a beautiful woman. My prayers and “positive energy” are with you at this time.
