In loving memory of Peter Kwai-Ping Poon, 71

It is with great sadness that on November 5^th 2015, Peter Poon, a father, brother, uncle, and friend passed away at the age of 71. After a courageous battle against cancer, Peter Poon passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital (Trillium Health Partners).

Born on November 5^th 1944 in Hong Kong, Peter Poon is the eldest of five children, he is the son of predeceased Cheung Fook and Poon Siu Ming, husband of the late Winnie Poon, and loving father to both Billy Poon and Bonnie Poon.

In 1987, Peter Poon moved to Mississauga, Ontario where he worked as a banker until he retired at HSBC Bank Canada in 2012. Not only is he dedicated to his family, but his dedication towards his career was noticed even before he moved to Canada, that’s why he made many accomplishments throughout his journey in life.

Peter Poon will be remembered by many as a caring, charismatic, dependable, and determined man. He will be remembered by family and loved ones as a peaceful man and guardian. Words cannot describe how heartbroken it is to loose someone with such great character. Peter loved watching sports especially soccer since he used to play soccer in HongKong, he liked playing OLG, collecting special edition coin sets, and eating.

To Peter, life doesn’t have to be complicated, it can be lived in a simple manner. Friends and family will cherish the great memories spent with him, and never will it be forgotten.

Funeral Service in memory of Peter Poon will be held Saturday, November 5^th, at 10:00-12:00PM, at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium, 737 Dundas St E., Mississauga.
