POIRIER, Joseph Andre Albinie
1948-2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Andre Albinie Poirier. Joe passed on August 22, 2025, at the Niagara Falls General Hospital. Born on November 22, 1948, Joe lived a life filled with love, family, and treasured memories.
Joe is survived by his wife of 22 years, Bethany VanBuskirk; children, Bernadette Perry of PEI, Kelly LeBlanc (Malcolm) of ON, Jason Robichaud (Melissa) of NB, and Heather Surette (Jason) of NB; sister, Yolande Mecure of NB; bonus daughter, Elisabeth Fisher (CJ) of ON; grandchildren, Alex Robichaud (Dawn) of ON, Carl LeBlanc of ON, Christian LeBlanc of ON, Edwin Thom of ON and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Reata Langois (née Ouellet); sister, Loiuse LeBlanc; and great-grandson Edwin Robichaud.
The family would like to thank the many nurses and doctors of Unit C and Trillium for their care and support of Joe, with special thanks to Nathan (spiritual manager) for his support in a very trying time.
In keeping with Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in memory of Joe.
