It is with great sadness to announce the recent passing of Lloyd Philipow on August 23, 2025 in his 83rd year. Surrounded by his family, his courageous battle with cancer came to an end.
Born November 5th, 1943 to John and Katie Philipow. Lloyd was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years Kathy (Dewy) Philipow (2016) and daughter Tanya (Mark) Neitz (2023).
Leaving behind his daughter Maryanne Morrison, grandchildren Tawny (Nick), Tia (Kyle) and Brady (Sandy), and cherish great grandchildren, McKenzie, Oliver, Dawson and Myla.
Survived by brothers Lawrence (Lorne) and Dan.
Predeceased by brothers Sid, Terry (Diane), Raymond Sr. and sister Evelyn (Bob). Lloyd leaves behind his sister-in-laws Fran Philipow and Mary (Jeannie) Dickson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lloyd was a lifetime member of the Army Navy Airforce Club, gunners club, Knights of Columbus, Brant-Lyn Optimist Club and Old Bastards Club. He will be missed by many special friends – his morning coffee boys at Tim Hortons, and cherished friend Bill Kerry whose daily visits were appreciated.
Upon his request there will not be a service or visitation rather a celebration with immediate family. Arrangements have been made through Tranquility Burial and Cremations Services. A special thank you to doctor’s, nurses and PSW’s at BGH (Palliative) and Stedman Hospice.
