NORMAN “NORM” LEVERNE WELSH

October 4, 1949 – July 23, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norman LeVerne Welsh, who left us peacefully on July 23, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born in Scotland, Ontario, Norm was the beloved son of the late Dorothy and Mervin Welsh. He was a loving brother to Keith (Melody), Dave, Carol Toms (John), Don (Phylis) and Ron (Gigi). For the past 13 years, Norm shared a beautiful life with his loving wife Debbie Apps. A relationship that was filled with adventure, laughter and the simple pleasures that he cherished most. He was deeply loved by his daughters Brooke (Edward) and Casey (Kyle), and his stepchildren Bailey(Tim), Lauren (Brandon) and Zachary (nick). “Grandpa Norm” will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Kaitee, Cali, Edward, Ember, Quinn and Levi, all of whom brought so much joy to his life.

Norm spent his life proudly behind the wheel of his truck – a career he truly loved. The open road was his second home, and he took great pride in the miles he drove and dedication he brought to his work. He will be remembered as country-loving, warm, welcoming with a quick with and a captivating smile. He had a soft spot for all dogs, especially his “Ace” and the late “Bandit”.

A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion  – Branch 123 (223 Nicol Street West, Waterford) on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 2-5 pm, where family and friends will gather to honour and remember the incredible man he was.  In memory of Norm, donations to SPCA to  benefit animals, would be appreciated.

Norm was truly one of a kind and will be forever loved by many.
