Passed away peacefully in Toronto on Monday April 20, 2015 after just celebrating her 81st birthday on April 17th. Beloved wife of Craig Monachan for over 57 years. Anne is also survived by her loving daughter Elizabeth (James) and her grandsons Logan and Braydon whom she adored. Caring, supportive and beautiful sister to Margaret who lives in Scotland and brother Jack in Australia. Married in Scotland, Anne and Craig took a honeymoon cruise to Canada to begin their life together where they lived in Toronto and Winnipeg. Anne was wonderful and loyal and attracted numerous lifelong friends, many through volunteering with the Girl Guides of Canada for over 25 years. Anne and Craig traveled in their spare time and saw a lot of North America, but Hawaii was her favourite place to watch the sunset.
Visitation will be held at St John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium, 737 Dundas St East in Mississauga on Friday April 24, 2015 from 2-3pm with a memorial service following at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
