McNAIR, JOHN A. (Retired Staff Sargeant of the Metro Toronto Police 1940-1978)
On Saturday, April 30th, 2011… at the gracious age of 94, the heart of John Albert McNair beat for the last time. He was a courageous pilot for the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II and also served as a brave Police Officer for 38 years. A loving husband to Adina McNair, father to George Richard Winston McNair, Paulette, Peter, Paul and Oliver. Grandfather to Natasha, Tara, Leshawna and Jayden and great-grandfather to Metaiya, Jayvin, Keiondra and Keiondrey. John will also be sadly missed by extended family and dear friends and colleaugues. A Homegoing celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 with visitation from 9-10 a.m. and a service to follow from 10-11:30 a.m. at Exodus Deliverance Temple, 1180 Mid-Way Blvd. Unit 1, Mississauga, ON.
