Fredric “Fred” James Luff
September 19, 1943 ~ October 22, 2023
After a lengthy illness, Fredric “Fred” Luff fell asleep in the Hope of the Resurrection on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dearly loved friend to so many. During his working life, Fred was an Environmental Technologist and after retirement, he kept busy truck driving and farming. Fred had many other talents including holding the office of President of the Waterford Horticultural Society, where he was a long time member. Fred was a much loved fixture at the Christadelphian Manitoulin Bible camp where, over decades of summers, he could be found studying the Bible and working hard, maintaining the camp. At local Christadelphian events, “Uncle Fred” enjoyed serving strawberries and ice cream to the masses. Fred was predeceased by Gloria, his devoted wife of almost 4o years who fell asleep in the Lord at age 62. They are survived by daughter Nicki of Waterford, Ontario, and son Jamie (Isabel) and their sons Micah and Nathan, all of Houston, Texas. Fred was one of four Luff boys, born to parents Ada and Gordon, and is survived by Don (Miriam) of Brantford, Dave (Edith) of Burlington and was predeceased by Norm (Jan) of Brantford and had numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 26th, 2023 at 7:00pm at the Brantford Christadelphian Hall, 442 Dunsdon Street, Brantford. All are welcome to attend.
