After bravely fighting bladder cancer for eight years, Stefan Legard, age 59, died in Brampton, Ontario, surrounded by the love and company of his son, Christopher; daughter-in-law, Madielyn; and Madielyn’s sister, Kathreen. He was predeceased by his wife, Milagros; brother, Arnold; and parents, Maria and Arnold Sr. He was also the brother of Michael and uncle of Melissa, Evan, and Alex.
Stefan was both a skilled welder and a dedicated Chrysler employee for 27 years who actively supported his union and the environment while financially assisting his wife’s family in the Philippines. Faith in and love for Jesus Christ animated his life, sustaining him through his various struggles.
All friends and relatives are invited to his viewing on Thursday, May 18th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium, Sandalwood Room: 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, ON L4Y 2B5; and to his memorial on Friday, May 26, at 11 a.m. at St. Marguerite d’Youville Parish: 2490 Sandalwood Parkway East, Brampton, ON L6R 3A4.
