With great sadness we announce the passing of Barbara Rose Kirkby (nee Knowles) on Thursday February 7, 2019 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Lyle Kirkby (1992), loving mother to Lori and Lynne (Bob). Devoted sister to Kim (Denny). Proud Dodie to her grandchildren Eric, Jamie (Ryan), Stevie (Paul), and Brianna (Josh). Great Grand Dodie to her cherished great grandgirls Kaitlyn, Madi, Morgan, Lena, Lylah, Zoey and was excited about the impending greatgrand baby due in May. She was much loved and will be missed by her constant canine companion Jack. She put forth a strong fight through numerous health struggles this past year and can finally rest free of pain and confusion. Heartfelt thanks to her friends Linda, Debbie and Anne for their care, concern and communication in this difficult last year – appreciated so much by her family. Cremation has taken place but a celebration of her life will be arranged when the weather warms up as she was hoping to have a picnic with us all. Always so proud of her beautiful garden – planting a flower in her memory this spring would mean so much to her and the most fitting tribute to her life.
