Katz, Marilyn Dorothy
1946-2025
With family by her side, Marilyn Katz passed away peacefully at her home in Welland on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the age 78. Beloved wife and best friend of Lowa for 43 years. Loving mother of Tom Winstone (Florence), Deb McLeod (Jim), Kim Kotzeff (Alex), and Joseph Katz. She will be sadly missed by 9 grandchildren; Tom Jr., Ashley (Joey), Courtney (Paul), Nicole, Eric (Kate), Matthew, Cathy (Bart), Sandor (Jackie), Max; & 11 great-grandchildren Brooklynne, Aliyah, Owen, Dylan, Ethan, Jacob, Lucas, Wyatt, Xander, Silvia, and Margaret.
Marilyn was an avid reader who shared her passion through the family bookstore, which she proudly operated from 1983 to 2020. Over the years, she made many dear friends, including her best friend, Monica. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated team of caregivers from Ontario Health at Home for their compassionate support during this difficult time, especially Angela, Lori, Sheska, and William.
In keeping with Marilyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tranquility Burial & Cremation Services (Niagara) Inc. Condolences can be shared at localhost:10299/
