Laurene passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Harold Karnes (2012). Loving mother of Tony Karnes and Laurie (Michael) Lucas. Much loved grandmother of Jennifer, Jackey, Brittany, and Dylan Karnes. Proud great-grandmother of Christian Gavey. Dear sister of Shirley (the late Gary) Brandon, Kathryn (the late Clark) Abbey and the late Glen Balcomb (2011). Much loved sister-in-law of Connie Balcomb.

Laurene was predeceased by her parents, Morley (1972) and Hazel (1998) Balcomb, and her children, Rick (1994) and Jeff Karnes (2018).

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
