Joseph Stanley Drozdz
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joe Drozdz on July 13, 2025 in his 73rd year.
Joe was the beloved husband of Donna, and a cherished father to Melissa (Jon) Keefner and Rob (Lindsay) Drozdz. He was also a loving stepfather to Kelly Nielsen (Kevin) and Tracy Neate (Justin) and son in law Wade Nielsen. He will be tremendously missed as “Papa Joe” to his adoring grandchildren: Colton, Kaleb, Ashton, Logan, and Raenar, who brought him immense joy.
Predeceased by parents, Stanley and Helen Drozdz.
Joe was raised in Brantford and educated at St. John’s College and the University of Waterloo, focusing his career in quality control. Deeply committed to service, Joe volunteered extensively, especially with CYO Boys Basketball, where he served as President, coach and referee. He found great joy in sports, particularly golf and curling (Brantford Golf and Country Club, Northridge & Lynn Meadows), where he was a familiar and enthusiastic presence.
Joe truly found his bliss under the sun, particularly at the Alabama Gulf Coast. He cherished those moments of relaxation and sunshine.
He brought joy, warmth and belonging wherever he went. Above all, it was the love he held for his family and friends that defined him most.
Special thanks to all staff at Park Lane Terrace, especially in Cedar Ridge and Grand River units for care provided to Joe in his last years.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Joe’s life on Wednesday, July 30th from 4:30pm to 8:00pm at the Polish Hall, Pearl Street, Brantford.
Donations can be made to Brantford Boys CYO Basketball
or The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
Cremation has taken place.
