JONES, Ann (nee Glowa)
JONES, Ann (nee Glowa) – Left us peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2016 at Fox Ridge Care Community, Brantford, Ontario, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Gilbert Jones (April 2001). Cherished and loving mother to Brian Jones (Debbie) of London, and to Trudy and her husband Paul Madden, of Brantford. Loving Grandma to Tammy and Kevin, London, Ontario and Great-Grandma to Bradley and Jessica. Ann is survived by two sisters, Hattie Misuida, Brantford and Tina Richels, of Brandon Manitoba. Predeceased by six brothers and three sisters. Born in Alonsa, Manitoba and after leaving Winnipeg, Ann decided to move east to Ontario and began working at Slingsbys in Brantford during WWII and then at Desmond’s Lunch. It was shortly after that when Ann first met Gord who also worked there. They married and raised their family in Brantford. Ann devoted herself to being a housewife and occasionally worked at the Holiday Inn. Ann is best remembered by her family and many nieces and nephews for her love and kindness to all living creatures and for keeping Gord in line. Although she always denied it, she was responsible for all her budgies ability to talk dirty. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service as per Ann’s wishes. Memorial remembrances to the Brant County SPCA would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at Fox Ridge Community for their acts of kindness and caring during the many years Ann resided there. Look out Gord…party’s over! ” Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” Anatole France1
