Labbe, Robert Yvan Joseph
July 14, 1948 – October 11, 2025
Robert passed away peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice with family by his side after a battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the age of 77.
Robert was predeceased by the love of his life, Gisele, whom he’d been married to for 51 years before her passing in October of 2023.
He was the much loved father of Yvon and Lissa Labbe.
Cherished grandfather, known as Pepe to Austin Sanders (Isaac), Abbigale McLain (Cody), Christine Hodgeson (Mike) and Cameron Durand (Letitia).
Proud great-grandfather of Harlyn, Ethan, Caden, and baby girl on the way.
Fondly remembered by his siblings Mike (Rachel), Lorraine Crepeau, Marcel, Nicole Poxleitner (Ralph), Joanne Labonte (Roger), Gerald, Denis (Diane), Luc (Pierrette), and Marc (Tracy).
He will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Robert now joins those that have gone before him, including his parents Gertrude and Ernest Labbe, his brother in law Roland Crepeau and his great grandson Oliver.
Robert was known for his love of fishing, hunting and woodworking as well as crafting which he continued to do until the very end. He enjoyed a good glass of whiskey and listening to music, especially country.
At Robert’s request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
For those wishing, donations in Robert’s memory can be made to Sick Kids or Stedman Community Hospice.–
