Kirk Main
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Kirk Main on December 1, 2025 at the age of 56. Kirk will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 16 (ish) years, Andrea Carere and his children/step-children, Sarah Leopold, Jason Addis-Main (Emily Dennison), Alex Carere (Dave Drone), Jess Waterman (Jason Waterman), and Ceilidh Cousins (Ethan Laird); grandchildren: Serenity, Aleah, Jamie-Lynn, Teagan, Theo, James, Daniel, Ezekiel, Colton, Adelaide, Audrey, Ashton, Andrew; siblings: Bert, Glenn, Ron, Larry (Kathi) Main and his “womb-mate”, Karen Main (Doug Leirsch); nieces and nephews: Josh, Alicia, Matt, Riley, Elisabeth, Michael, Jessica, Julia, Sam, and Maggie; as well as his many great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Barbara Main and his sister, Sharon Main.
Kirk was never happier than when he had a dart in his hand, a much too expensive fishing lure in the water, or a horseshoe in mid-air. Whether he was sinking the winning shot in a game of pool or thinking he was outsmarting everyone with a well-timed quip, he brought a sense of fun to every room and every backyard tournament.
A true social soul, he made friends everywhere he went. If you ever drove by and saw a hand out of the car window giving part salute, part wrist-flick, you instantly knew it was Kirk. He was easy to tease, mostly because he’d laugh harder than anyone else, but underneath the jokes was a man with a huge heart. When he loved you, he made sure you felt it.
His affection was warm, obvious, and unwavering.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Just recently my Mom recalled visiting with Helena and her family and along came Billy and Barb with Karen and Kirk in tow. It was many years ago now but Mom recalls this as if it was yesterday. Sadly visits with her brother and family were few and far between. On behalf of Mom…Mona (Main) Regan and my family our sincere condolences. Our thoughts are with you all.
