In Loving Memory of Helene Cecile Marie Crew

                                    October 13, 1946 - February 22nd 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Helene Cecile Marie Crew (nee St Germain)  who passed
away peacefully at 5:15 am on February 22, 2026 in Brantford shortly after receiving last rites at the age of 79 
with family by her side.

Born in Capreol, Ontario, to the late Ovila and Bernadette St Germain, Helene devoted her life to her family. 
Helene attended St-Jacques school in Hanmer which is now called Le Rendez-vous de la vallee.

She married Johnny Crew on December 26, 1964 and together they built a lasting marriage rooted in
love and loyalty. They celebrated their 60th diamond anniversary on December 26th, 2024.
She was a devoted mother to the late (Stillborn), James(Cindy), Dennis (Cheryl), the late Deborah and
David. Her greatest joy as being "Nana" to her granddaughters Heather, Brittany, Jamie(Jessie) and
Kylie. She was also a proud great-grandmother to the late Ryder and to Vivian.

Helene is lovingly remembered by her sisters Marguerite, the late Annette, Jacqueline (Rudy),
Micheline, Denise, Jeannette (Ernie) and her baby sister Rollande, brother in-law, sister in-law  Marcel and 
Jacqueline Crew (St Germain), brother in law and sister in law Rick and Lorraine Crew and her friend Louise 
(predeceased).

Known for her strong voice and love of conversation Helene had a presence that filled every
room. She will be deeply missed, and her laughter and love will live on through her family and friends.

Helene worked for many years at a factory called Alltours Marketing

Helene also loved playing bingo, family gatherings, the latest Christmas in July in 2024  where all her 6 sisters 
were in attendance.  At that time being 7, all the sisters had a dwarf name, Helen being Happy, Marguerite Sneezy, 
Jacqueline Bashful, Micheline Grumpy, Denise Doc, Jeannette Dopey and Rollande Sleepy. Helen also loved her nieces, 
Lori,Lynne (Lanny), Suzanne, Monique, Sarah, Cassandra, Christine (predeacesed) her great nieces Sharolyn, Melanie, 
Natalie, Madyson and also all her nephews Mark (predeacesed)Dayna,Harold (Lynne) Alvin (Theresa), Raymond (Roxan), 
Robert (Sherry) Alain, Andre(Tina), Patrick, Mike (Melissa) and her great  nephews Denis and Justin, Bailey, Jayden,  
and many more not mentioned.Her beloved fur companion Rosie will miss her very much.

Helene never judged anyone. Her moto in life is Be Happy, everyone should get along with one another no matter what color or race a person was. Cremation at Holy Cross Arrangements by Tranquility in Brantford. A celebration of life will be held on August 15th in Sudbury. Details will be posted on Facebook at a late
