In Loving Memory of Gerrard Joseph Frank Jolicoeur

September 30, 2025 | 1 Condolence

Gerrard Joseph Frank Jolicoeur
Born January 10, 1972 and passing suddenly and too soon at 53 in Hamilton on September 23, 2025.
Gerry as he was affectionately known, was born in Newmarket, Ontario to his parents Samuel Cecil Jolicoeur (deceased Dec. 2, 2022) and surviving mother Teresa Watters (Ryder).
Brother and lifelong friends to Donald Jolicoeur/Cindy Lang and Karen Jolicoeur (deceased January 2023). Uncle to Jasmine, Lexis, Victoria, Paige and Eric. Many more who call him Uncle and great Uncle.
Nephew to many amazing Aunts & Uncles who will miss him dearly.
Married Crystal in 2014 whom he shared Abigail, Cassidy and Oliver, as well as stepfather to Rebecca, Hayley, and Breanna.
Father to Mackenzie with Melody, and Robin with Rose. Father figure to many other kids during his lifetime. He touched the lives of many people throughout his lifetime.
Gerry spent years building so many different things- boats, cars, bikes, and renovating homes. He was always fixing cars or teaching skills and techniques, walking in his father’s footsteps, who was amazing with body work on cars and mechanics. He loved to fish and being outdoors. Loud and proud. Gerry always stuck up for people, even if he was wrong- it took alot to convince him of otherwise! Always made people feel included, especially all the kids who he treated as his own. And the many people he considered family. He was known for his cooking, which he learned from his mom – whether it be very odd choices that still tasted pretty good – or Boxing Day dinners where people begged for more to take home because they were so full. He was a friend to many, would give the shirt off his back. Literally was shirtless often haha! But whether it was moving a shed, restoring an old vehicle, helping people move, being the strength in someone’s day, or building a dollhouse or bed for his kids- he was always there. Now you can drive wherever you please as fast as you can go – we’ve got it covered from here my love. All the children’s and people’s lives you have touched will aways carry a piece of you.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 4 at 1pm at Rick & Marshas. Potluck style.
