Ed (Edward) A. Burton, age 82, of Brantford, Ontario, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026.
Born on April 13, 1943, in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, Ed was the son of the late Edward Burton Sr. and Lulu Burton.
Ed is survived by his wife, Lucille (Fortin) Burton, and was predeceased by his first wife, Doreen Burton. He is also survived by his sisters Carol, Sheila, and Lynn. Ed was a proud stepfather to Sylvie and Serge, who held a special place in his heart.
A dedicated member of the Teamsters Union, Ed took great pride in his work. His company, Ed Burton Haulage, was not only his livelihood but his lifelong passion. He also enjoyed a good game of cribbage and horseshoes.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
A celebration of Ed’s life will be held on April 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Smokey Hollow Estate, 114 Power Line Rd, Brantford, ON N3T 5L8.

I’m so sorry for your families loss. It was a pleasure knowing Ed. He was a big part of our community at Smokey Hollow. We will miss his smile and laughter.
