Iacovino, Anthony (Tony)
Anthony (Tony) Iacovino, born in Brantford, Ontario on July 20, 1930, passed with is loving wife Phyllis by his side on February 27, 2017. Proud owner of TIC Speciality Promotions for over 20 years, Tony was also a co-founder of the Roller skating Dance Club where, again with his wife of 66 years at his side, he mentored new skaters and successfully competed in many competitions. Tony will be greatly missed by his 3 children Don (Maureen), Terry (Don) and Larry (Debbie) and his 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Julie (Karrol), Tony is survived by his brother Jon (Robin) Hall and his sisters Marge (Reg) Secord and Nancy (Bill) Avey. The much appreciated outpouring of support from his many nieces and nephews and dear friends of countless years exemplifies the love Tony leaves behind and that he touched many lives. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the excellent caregivers at the John Noble home, namely the day and stay program and long term care. In lieu of flowers, and in honour of his beloved feline “Sparkles” that brought him so much joy, donations can be made to the Brant County SPCA. Alternatively, memorial donations would also be appreciated to the Alzheimer Society of Brantford or the charity of your choosing. Following cremation, a celebration of life will take place on Friday March 3, 2017 at from 2-4 pm at Sydenham St. United Church, 120 Sydenham St., Brantford where we will remember Tony and all his passions including his love for the Blue Jays. Go Jays go!
Dad,
For your love, for your forgiveness, and for being the best Dad you could be, I thank you.
Love always,
Terry
Dad,
You taught me how to fish, you taught me how to hunt, you taught me how to laugh at others, you taught me how to laugh at myself, you taught me how to work hard, you taught me how to work with my hands, you taught me how to work with my mind, but most importantly you taught me how to be a man and I wouldn’t be half the man I am today if it wasn’t for you, gone but never forgotten, love you miss you Dad.
Larry

Aunt Phyllis< you are in my heart and prayers, Love you so very much, I have a verse to give you and I hope it helps bring peace to your heart as I know what it is like to lose the love of your life
When tomorrow starts without me.
When tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name,
And took me by the hand,
And said my place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye,
For all my life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for,
So much yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible,
That I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays,
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
And all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday,
Just even for awhile,
I'd say good-bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
That this could never be
For emptiness and memories,
Would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates
,I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me,
From His great golden throne,
He said "This is eternity,And all I've promised you.
"Today for life on earth is past,
But here it starts anew.I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
And since each day's the same way
There's no longing for the past.
But you have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true.
Though there were times you did some things,
You knew you shouldn't do,
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free.
So won't you take my hand
And share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.
Uncle Tony
