she nurtured, cared, and loved unconditionally
she guided allowing us to grow and spread our wings to become who we are today.
Once a mother always a mother even after all had ‘flown her nest’.
Her heart and arms were always open to provide the security, comfort, and love that was always needed no matter your age.
Her ears were always ready to listen to and to share in the joys and the sorrows of our lives.
Our mother, Luba Myra Hucal, born Komarnickij, passed away peacefully, at home, with her family by her side, September 11, 2021. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Anna Nadia Konsky (Andrij), Olha Prijic (Zlatko), her sons, Taras Hucal (Irene), Andrij Hucal (Joanne); her grandchildren, Michael Konsky (Magdalena), Stephanie De Souza (David), Nicholas and Sophia Prijic, Yarema, Damyan, and Lucas Hucal, Ava and Olivia Hucal, her great granddaughters, Anastasia De Souza and Klara Konsky, her nephews and nieces in Ukraine, her sister, Natalia Hnatojko, and brother, Roman Komarnickij, nieces and nephews in Australia, and her friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Peter, her mother and father, Anna and Andrij Komarnickij, her brothers, Slavko and Bohdan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 14, 2021 from 9:30 am until 11 am, followed by Funeral Mass at 11 am at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 300 River Oaks Blvd. East, Oakville, Ontario. Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery, in Oakville.

I met your mother when I was 18 years old. There are many great memories of her ❤ from the fun cottage days when we all played cards in the evenings. She was a very kind person who held her family close and caring. May she rest in peace.
