Hill, Sherwin

On March 12, 2025, after a brief illness, Sherwin Hill of the Six Nations passed away at 92 years of age.  Predeceased by Joyce, his devoted wife of 59 years. Dear father of Jacqueline and Dana Millen and Allen Hill.  Loving grandfather of Leanne and Molly Hill. Survived by sisters June Hill and Beverley Gurney, brother Dennis and wife Muriel, and sisters-in-law Lillian and Karen.   Predeceased by daughter Colleen , daughter-in-law Darlene, brothers Evan, Clabren and wife Shirley, and Elgin.

Sherwin was an active member of the Grand Valley Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He earned his 70 year pin as a member of the Ironworkers Union Local 736.

He was also a residential school survivor.

Sherwin was a kind and generous man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held Friday, March 28, 7 pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 11 St Patricks Drive, Brantford, Ont.
