Rick was a firefighter with Toronto for 27 years. He retired in 2000 to
enjoy life. Yet he still found time to work for friends and part time
services. He liked to keep busy.
Special thanks go to all the doctors and nurses who were there to
help Rick through Chemo. He was fighting a losing battle but had hoped
for a remission. Sadly it was not to be.

Brantford General Hospital for the wonderful care Rick received.

I was very saddened to hear of Richard’s passing. I met Richard while working as a temp at SC Johnson. He was such a nice man, he spoke of his wife often and it was plain to see how much he loved her. My deepest condolences to all of his family.
Was such a pleasure and honour to meet Rick. I’ve only known him for a few years but he always welcomed me with open arms and treated me like I’ve always been family. I wish I got to call him my father-in-law legally but I still considered him to be my father-in-law. Rick you are greatly loved and you will be missed by so many. I’ll take good care of Scott for ya lol 🥰🫂❤️
During his time on Toronto Fire, in the late 80s and early 90s, Rick often drove car 44 out of Claremont street . As a firefighter at Adelaide we would see him every shift. His infectious laugh and wit was always welcomed as he visited each hall in 44 district. Always a great story teller and one to offer sound advice to new firefighters Rick will be remembered as one you could count on. RIP brother.
My condolences. I only worked a shot time with Rick before he retired but he always was pleasure to be around.
I worked with Rick at “the Board”, and he was a pleasure to be around. Calm. Secure. Happy. I took a little of his life philosophy as my own. Condolences to your family Rick.
My condolences and prayers go out to all of Rick’s family and friends.
I am honoured to be your son
I am proud to have you as a dad
