It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Judith (Judy) on Monday January 13, 2014 in her 64th year at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH). Loving wife and best friend of Ivan (John). Dear daughter of Douglas (Vi) Broome and the late Evelyn Broome. Dearly remembered by her sisters Frances Broome (Gary Malloy), Carolyn White (Alan Hart) and brother Jim Broome (Sandy Hottot). Predeceased by her sister Donna Broome, sister-in-law Mary Halovanic and brother-in-law Michael Halovanic. Judith will also be missed by her sisters-in-law Anne Harris and Marguerite Halovanic; brother-in-laws John Fleming and William (Bill) Halovanic; nieces/nephews Karen (Matthew), Cathy, Craig (Rheem), Danielle, Jaron and Kalen; and great nieces Mikayla, Serena and Emily. Throughout Judy’s many health related issues, she always had a smile on her face, remained positive no matter what was thrown at her and maintained her wonderful sense of humour. Fellow patients and the nursing staff especially loved Judy’s uplifting spirit as she inspired everyone in the dialysis unit at OTMH. Judy will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 1pm on Saturday January 18, 2014 at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 737 Dundas St. E (Dundas & Cawthra), in Mississauga. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada (Ontario) and The Heart & Stroke Foundation. Special thanks to the Drs. and Nurses in the Dialysis Unit OTMH.
