Glen – John (Jack) McKenzie

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John (Jack) McKenzie Glen who passed away peacefully on Sept. 12,2025 at the Paris Willett Hospital.

Jack was born in Paisley, Scotland on November 24, 1930. Jack had an infectious chuckle, twinkle in his eyes and unwavering kindness.

Jack was predeceased by his loving wife Mary (2014). He is survived by his loving, devoted and proud daughter Denise and her husband Wilf (Hogeveen). Also mourning his loss is his only grandson Sam Jeffery McKenzie Hopkins who adored his Papa. Emily (Ari) and Michael (Laura) will miss their chosen Papa.

Jack will be dearly missed by his Canadian and U.K. families – brothers Jim (Betty (d), Bill (d), Nan, brother-in-law Jim (Joyce), nephews Stewart (Karin), Gordon (Michelle), nieces Fiona (Stephen) and Hazel (Gorden) Jacqueline (Chris) and Victoria.

His faithful friend Mark will always remember their longstanding friendship.

Jack was an inspiration to all who knew him and was loved by all. He loved his family and all his numerous friends from all walks of life.

Jack was an avid photographer and could master all things technical, especially on his computer.

Special thanks to Dr. Jeff Manning and all the healthcare professionals involved in Jack’s care these past several months.

Please remember Jack with every chirp of the birds, the breeze in the trees and the sun in the sky.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to Tranquility Burial Services.
