GILES, MELVIN JOHN – Suddenly after a brief illness on Monday August 8, 2011 at Victoria Hospital in London. Loving husband of 60 years to Bernice. Dear father of Stanton and his wife Cathy, and Karl. Proud Papa of Jay, Chelsea and Braxton. Fondly remembered by sister Dorothy and her husband Fred Powell, his brothers Lorne and Art, as well as his sister in law June and her husband Dodd Gray. Predeceased by his sisters Margaret and Mary and his brother Frank. Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held on Friday August 12, 2011 at Sydenham United Church, 120 Sydenham St. Brantford., at 11 am. Reception to follow in the church hall. My heart felt condolences to your family in the loss of you husband , father and grandfather, and my uncle ,all though we did not see a lot of him , i do feel the loss as well as he was my dads brother,Our family is getting smaller as we make our way into gods house and some day we will all be together again, Take care and my god put his arms around you at this time and give you peace and comfort ,take care and my god bless you.
