Gérald Quenneville

April 5, 1947 ~ April 13th, 2023

After a long, difficult and courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Gérald Quenneville passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on April 13, 2023. Gérald leaves behind his devoted wife of 50 years Madeleine, his three children Denis (Becky), Julie (Wesley) and Marc (Cynthia), his cherished grandchildren Audrina and Emmett, and his siblings Robert (Ginette), twin brother Gerry (Andrea) and Norm (Barbara), nieces and nephews and many beloved members of the Deschênes family. Predeceased by his parents Henri and Léonie, and his siblings Jeannine, Gilbert and Paul.

Born in St. Charles on April 5, 1947, Gérald spent most of his life in Sudbury, Ontario. Following his retirement he moved to Southern Ontario where he could spend time with his children and grandchildren. Gérald had a passion for golf, skiing, cars and a competitive side when it came to cards and billiards. A kind and strong man, Gérald’s devotion to his family has forever left a mark on our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Special thanks to: Dr. Alex Quinlan, Dr. Barbara Connely, the ParaMed staff: Clinton, Rachel, Jennifer and Susan, the LHIN staff: Ellie and Melissa, and many other medical staff and doctors, and Fr. Kevin D’Souza.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

(2 Timothy 1:7).
