In Loving Memory of George McPherson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George McPherson on March 17, 2026 at 12:20 pm, peacefully with his family and friends by his side, at the Freeport Hospital at the age of 68. George lived in Cambridge, but was born in Welland, Ontario.
George will be missed dearly by his loving wife, Melinda Kregar. He will be missed and remembered fondly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings: Irene Deluca, Herb (Shirley) McPherson, Eleanor (Gord) Bygrave. He was predeceased by his brother Eric and his mother Gladys McPherson. He is also predeceased by his brother Jerry, who was born in Welland, Ontario and passed away on November 11, 2021.
George loved trucks and going watch car races.
A celebration of life will be held on June 14, 2026 from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm at the Newfoundland Club ar 1500 Dunbar Road in Cambridge, Ontario. We will also honour the memory of the late Jerry McPherson and Bonnie Griffin Sr.
