In loving memory of GEORGE ALEXANDER BARR
June 4, 1963 – September 26, 2025 On Friday September 26, 2025, we lost our brother, partner and friend after a 4 year battle with prostate cancer despite his immense bravery and the efforts of his nurses and doctors to fight it. George was a true-blue, principled man of integrity. You would know if he liked you by his actions. From our memorable summers and years in Temagami with brothers Robert and Patrick, mom and dad, Alice and Bob, to selling Sea Ray boats in Port Credit, which led him to meet his beloved Jolanta, lifelong partner and spouse. George’s real strength was reflected in his character. He is remembered for his intelligence, integrity, curiosity and his enduring sense of wonder. Although George is no longer with us, he will always remain in the hearts and thoughts of his loved ones and his many friends. George would not want you to mourn him, but we know it would make him smile to be remembered when you enjoy a cool drink, celebrate an occasion or find yourself in a place that brings you back to George. We thank everyone for their condolences, compassion and kindness during this difficult time.
