Gagnon, Margaret Rose (nee Rowe)

Margaret Rose Gagnon (nee Rowe), a free spirit with a heart of gold, passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family, on Thursday march 27, 2025 at the age of 83.  Born on January 11, 1942, Margaret affectionately known as Maggie, dedicated her life to making others smile and ensuring peace within her family. Her career was ad diverse as her interests.  Maggie began working at Port Colborne She Factory and held various positions throughout they years, including auto detailer, cleaner, caregiver with the March of Dimes and building superintendent. She found her true calling in being a grandmother, a rile she cherished deeply and found most satisfying.  Maggie appreciated the simple joys in life.  She was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and NASCAR, where she enthusiastically supported #22, Joey Logano.  Her love for Lions Club TV Bingo and the joy she received in attending family gatherings and visiting with friends were the small pleasures that she valued the most.  Another of Maggie’s loves was Gus, her family dog, who supplied her with endless kisses and who she supplied with endless treats.  She was a loving sister, wife, mother, aunt and nanny, adored by all her knew her. Maggie is survived by her sons Michael and Todd (Karen) and her grandchildren, John, Gabriel, Karlyn and Gregory.  She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Donna, Roxanne (Yvon) and Cindy (john) and her brothers Tom, and Nick (Monique) as well as by her many sister and brother in laws, Wilma, Debbie (Jim), Tammy, Don, Brian (Louise), Lloyd, Claude and Robbie.  Maggie is predeceased by her beloved husband Bill; her parents, Margaret and Tom; her brothers Robert and Danny; her granddaughter Katie; her mother in law Dot, here sister in laws, Cathy, Marg, Kim and Louise and her brother in law Rick. So many memories will be cherished by her family, especially her many nieces and nephews, who affectionately call her Aunt Mag.  Maggie’s life will be honoured through a private cremation service. In lieu of flowers, her family encourages donations to be made to Autism Speaks Canada, or an organization close to her heart.  Her family would like to send a heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and R.T.s in the ICU at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.  Maggie’s legacy of family, food and love will bless us for many years to come.
