Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on August 17th, 2014 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of 64 years to Catherine (nee Curtiss). Loving father to Margaret (John) Lawrence. Dear grandpa to Bryan (Rosalie) Lawrence, Teri Lawrence and Amanda (Philip) Raaymakers. Great grandpa to Katarina Lawrence. George worked for many years in the parts department at Massey Ferguson and was a proud member of the Quarter Century Club. Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. A special thank you to all the staff at Telfer Place and the Brantford General Hospital for their care and compassion.

I worked with George in the Massey Ferguson Parts Deparment. My very first job out of high school, George was a great person to work for. I still remember the wonderful lunches Kay made for him and actually peeling his oranges which we would tease him about & sometimes we would go out for fish & chips. Wonderful memories & great times. I have never worked with or had as much fun as I did in the Parts Department. After George retired I would let him know when I was on vacation and he & Kay would take me with them out to lunch.. He was a wonderful man and I will never forget him.George would say at the end of the work day lets get going while we got our breakfast in us, I still say this and it drives everybody crazy in my house. I will miss him.
