Financial Assistance

At Tranquility, we understand that funeral expenses can feel overwhelming. We are committed to providing clear information about available payment options and financial assistance.

Private Payment

Families may choose to pay for services through personal funds or pre-arranged funeral plans. We will review all costs in advance and provide a clear, written contract before any arrangements are finalized.

Social Assistance Coverage

If you do not have sufficient funds to pay for funeral, transfer, and final disposition services, you may be eligible to apply for financial assistance through your local municipality or Ontario Works provider.

You must speak with your Ontario Works caseworker or municipal social services office before signing a contract with a funeral provider. They will explain eligibility requirements and the application process.

If approved, the municipality’s financial assistance program may:

• Set limits on approved services
• Restrict the selection of caskets, urns, or grave options
• Limit certain additional services

Each municipality administers its own program and funding guidelines.
