John “Jack” Gordon Farr
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father and grandfather on Sunday February 13 2022 at Etobicoke General Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife Maureen, children David (Barbara) and Steven (Carmela) and his grandchildren Meghan, Colin and Amanda.
Jack was a loyal and loving Husband to his wife Maureen for 66 years of marriage. They enjoyed many things together. Camping, regular trips to South Carolina and frequenting various restaurants were just some of the things they enjoyed.
Things Jack enjoyed included watching and playing sports, fishing, canoeing, researching the latest gadgets, and listening to all kinds of music on his carefully chosen hifi system. He was also notorious as a bargain hunter. If there was a deal to be found, Jack would certainly find it.
Jack spent decades in the fusegear industry both as a Sales Manager and a Technical Advisor overseeing major accounts. This would involve extensive travelling to various locations including trips to Europe.
Jack will be laid to rest at Glendale Memorial Gardens
He will be missed dearly by his wife and family.
I’m not sure why Jack popped into my head today. Sadly today I learned of his passing. Jack was my boss for many years at Eastern Electric/GEC Canada. Everything I learned about fuses was from Jack. He was an amazing man who lovingly shared family stories with me. My heart is breaking a little tonight. Rest in peace Jack. Maureen and boys I’m so sorry for your loss 💔
God has a plan for each one of us. A plan with a beginning and a worldy end that comes with a life ever after in Jesus. Psalm 23 “…and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Comfort is found knowing his resting place is with our Lord.
I will miss the Sunday chats with my Uncle John (Jack); he made a great impact in all our lives and will be sadly missed.
My condolences to Aunt Maureen and cousins Steven, David, and family.
Love Cathy Penny ❤️ and family
