Esme Muriel Usher (nee Porter)
May 29, 1926 – February 13, 2022
Esme passed away suddenly at Grand River Hospital on February 13, 2022 in her 96th year.
Esme was born and raised in Dartford, Kent England along with her 3 brothers (predeceased). She moved to Canada with her three children who meant the world to her. She was the proud and loving mother of the late Shannon Brand (the late Helen), Jennifer Little (Ken), Nick Brand (Jan). Cherished grandmother of Leona Brand (Mike), Lesley Pugliese (Matt), Christine Gomes (Didio), Shayne Brand, the late Jacqueline Bowditch, the late Jason Bowditch, Stephanie Hoyt (Chad), Nicole Brand (Travis), and many great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Esme was a beautiful, wonderful woman who was loved by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kind heart and generous ways.
For the past two years she lived with her son Nick and daughter-in-law, Jan who took amazing care of her. Her presence in their home will be missed tremendously as well as by her dear friends Lorraine and Mary, and her precious cat, “Teddy”.
Thank you to all the PSW’s who assisted Esme during her final years, especially Tanya, Nancy, Alisha and Lee.
A celebration of life for Esme will be announced at a later date.
