DUTCHER, Danielle Lee
With heavy hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of Danielle Lee Dutcher on Saturday March 23 2024 at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital in her 49th year. Danielle was born July 29th, 1975, in Dunnville, Ontario. After graduating from nursing college, she spent most of her working career in Dundas, Ontario. Danielle devoted her life to the service of others with a broad smile, bringing happiness and love to those she knew and cared for. The staff at Haldimand War memorial Hospital looked forward to caring for her each day as she was always cheerful and caring for them.
Danielle is survived by her Mother Kathleen Kauth (Dave), her father Gregory Dutcher (Fran), her loving brother Scott Dutcher (Meghan) step sister Triena Townson(Bill), Glenn Kauth(Joel), Kim Gifford(Shaun) and Jim Lyddiatt ( Natalie ) . Danielle was a devoted Aunt to Mason, Jasper, Phoenix, Juniper, Carlissa, Colton, Isabella, Spencer, Jake and Amber. Danielle was also loved by her special friend, Richard, many Aunts, Uncles and cousins from the Robins, Dutcher, and Kauth families.
Danielle fought a courageous battle with a rare uterine leiomyosarcoma for over a year relying on her amazing faith in God and support of her family and friends. Although those visiting her in hospital felt they were caring for her, they would often leave feeling that it had been her who was caring for them. Danielle worked as an RPN devoting her life to taking care of others, which she did until her last days. Danielle was very talented at baking, crafting, flower arranging and decorating. Her nieces and nephews looked forward to the special packages of crafts and home baked goodies she sent, making memories and special connections they will remember their whole lives. Throughout Danielle’s life she had a very strong faith in God and was very involved in the church singing and helping others. Without a doubt, Danielle was an example for others in her care of those she loved those she met and those less fortunate.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 30 at Wainfleet BIC Church located at 53007 Perry Rd. Wainfleet, Ontario. Visitation will take place at 10 am followed by service at 11 am. Interment to follow at Zion Cemetery with a Light lunch that will take place back at the church.
The Family is very grateful to the nurses and staff at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion they showed Danielle. They say it takes a village to support someone in need and Danielle had an army of family and friends who were with her around the clock led by the strength and love of her mother.
In lieu of flowers, Danielle asked that donations to your local food bank would be most appropriate. Although we have lost a special spirit, we know heaven has gained an angel.
