Duncan, David George

David George Duncan

March 10th 1964 – April 27th 2024

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of David George Duncan at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on April 27th, 2024 in his 60th year surrounded by family and friends.

Dave is survived by his wife Barbara, married October 5th, 1996, Son Mackenzie, Parents Barbara and George Duncan, Brother Drew (Colette) Duncan and life long friend Bruce (Joanne) Gee.

Dave worked for over 30 years, first at Mackenzie Health Hospital and then transitioned to the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital when it opened in February 2021. The years spent between the two hospitals gave him many amazing memories, touched many people’s lives and developed lasting friendships. His larger than life personality and outgoing attitude allowed him to easily connect with people and share common interests such as a love of old cars, photography and camping. Dave always saw the bright side of things and was there to provide love and support to others in need. He will be forever in our hearts as we remember his brilliant smile as well as his endless kindness.

Visitation and Service will be held at Lansing United Church, 49 Bogert Ave. North York.  Visitation will be held on Friday May 24th from 7-9 p.m. On Saturday May 25th, visitation starts Saturday at 9a.m., followed by the Service at 10 a.m.; Reception to follow the Service. Funeral service will be officiated by Reverend Brad Inglis.

I’ve worked with Dave full time nights for about a year and a half to two years. We only have 2 in our department that works in the nights. So we got to know one another pretty well. Dave was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was kind, warmhearted and always loved to help people.

We shared a common interest in flashlights, cars and music.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends.
