DOSTAL, Michael (Mike) – April 16, 1950 – May 20, 2016 It is with extreme sadness we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our father, in his 66th year. Loving father of Michelle Henwood (Jim) and Kristine Robinson (Mark). Very proud grandfather of Galen, Nicholas, Cooper and Sawyer. Survived by his sisters Pauline Zabiuk, Judy Santangelo (Sam), brothers Jim and Erle (Carol), and Sister-in-law Bonnie Dostal. Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Agnes and his brother Steve and sister Rosey. He will be greatly missed by his loving companion Jane Waring, his numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Dad had just started to enjoy his retirement from Mitten Vinyl (Paris). Mike was a passionate Maple Leaf fan since childhood and enjoyed playing strictly for the love of the game. He also enjoyed playing baseball well into his adult years with the Blue Jays being his team of choice. When not watching his favourite sports teams with his four-legged “Buddy”, Mike could be found on the open road riding his motorcycle. He has left a void that will never be filled and we will miss him deeply with all our hearts. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place to be followed by a private family service. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
