Donos, Vera –
After a long, courageous and hard battle with uterine cancer, it is with heavy hearts, great sorrow and deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Vera Donos, aged 76 on Saturday, February 24 at Ian Anderson hospice, Oakville. Vera was born in Republic of Moldova, Eastern Europe on February 6, 1942. She will be dearly missed by her children Mariana, Ala and Iurie, Ecaterina, Silvano and Miki, grand-children Stefan, Sofia, Diana, Alexandru and Elena. She is survived by her siblings Aurica, Semion and Andrei. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Veaceslav, Ala, Igor, Ana, Larisa and Olga. Vera will be remembered by several relatives and friends over the years. Mariana’s family would like to thank Ian Anderson hospice staff for all their help, support and in making Vera comfortable during her last days. Visitation and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 28 from 6-7 p.m., funeral service at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium, 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, in Magnolia Chapel room.
Cremation as per Vera’s wishes will take place at a later date, at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium.
