DICKSON, Helen Doreen (née Treverton) – It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Doreen, gracefully at St. Joseph’s Stedman Community Hospice on July 13, 2017, in her 87th year. Spouse of the late Miklos Matyas. Beloved mother of Susan Luz and Jeffrey Dickson. Loving Grandmother of Gregory Dickson (Nicki), Darin Luz, Michelle Dickson (Thomas), Richard Luz (Michelle), Heather Luz and Paul Dickson. Proud Great-Grandmother of Henry James Dickson and Scarlett Summer Luz. Dear sister of Elizabeth Cook (Bill). In-law to George Lewis and Ronald Siewert. Predeceased by Mother and Father Treverton, sisters Phyllis, Melba, Kathleen, brothers Carl, Ronald. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Good friend to many and especially B. Foxall and H. Enyedi. A long time employee of the Credit Bureau of Brantford, Helen was an avid history reader, and a British Monarchy admirer. Well travelled, Helen visited places such as Bermuda, Mexico, The Azores, England and Ireland among many, as well as cruises. She took part in many ladies’ social groups including; Central Brant Women’s Probus, Birthday Girls, Credit Bureau Girls, Friday Ladies’ Beauty Day. A funeral service will take place on August 15, 2017 at 1 pm in Mt. Pleasant at All Saints Anglican Church, with reception to follow. As per Helen’s wishes cremation has taken place. We are grateful to the staff of St. Joseph’s Stedman Community Hospice for all their care and support with special thanks to Lara, Dr. Neil, Dr. Singh, Tim and Lisa.
