With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Noreen Cooper, fondly known as Noreen, on January 27, 2025, at her cherished home in Viva Retirement, Mississauga. After a brief illness, she departed this world surrounded by the love of her family.
Noreen was born on November 10, 1935, and lived a life imbued with compassion, love, and an indomitable spirit. She was predeceased by her first husband, George Cooper, but was fortunate enough to find love again with her second husband, Bill Berg. She was a cherished mother to her daughters, Brenda Tucci (married to Frank) and Sharon Eyben (married to Brad), and a loving grandmother to Michael (married to Marley) and Justin.
An integral part of Noreen’s life was her deep love for music and theatre. She spent many joyful years with the Etobicoke Musical Theatre, sharing her passion with friends and family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Noreen is survived by her sister, Barbara Cameron, and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Her gentle nature made everyone feel welcome and valued. Her laughter was infectious, and her wisdom was a guiding light for her family and friends.
A small, private family service will be held to honor Noreen’s life, as per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to one of the three charities that were dear to Noreen’s heart:

Noreen’s light will continue to shine through the lives she touched. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
Rest in peace, Noreen. Your love, your music, and your kindness will be our comfort in the days ahead.

My deepest condolences to Noreen’s loving family and friends. We shared the stage in Etobicoke Musical Productions for many years, long ago. She was indeed a sweet, gentle soul.
So sorry to hear of this and had just spoken to Brenda not long ago after a long separation. It was a delight to catch up with her then, as she always had a special space in my heart as a wonderfully kind and caring person. So many happy memories with her and George, and Bert as well. Numberous shows, countless holidays all spent with ‘the crowd’ as my Mum used to call them….laughing, singing, and socializing together. She will be missed

I performed with Noreen in several of the musical productions of Etobicoke Musical Productions many many years ago. She was a gentle and kind lady. May she rest in peace and be singing her heart out up in the heavens!!

I’m so sorry to learn of your mom’s passing. And I regret not ever having met her as it sounds like many of the many fine qualities that I admire in you originated from your mom.
