COLE, Donald Dale
February 2, 1944- March 19, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Don Cole in his 74th year after a courageous battle with cancer. Don is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Susan Cole. He is predeceased by his parents Walter & Gertrude Cole & his brother Bill Dunbar. Don is survived by his sisters Elaine & Linda (Don) & brothers Jack & Frank. Don was a loving father to Jeff, Craig (Sonya), Jason (Lisa), Paula (Marcel) & Tim (Brianne). He will be missed dearly by his 9 grandchildren Matthew, Christopher, Nicholas, Alicia, Paige, Samantha, Luke, Madilyn & MyaSue, as well as many nieces & nephews. Don was born in Port Huron MI & remained an avid Michigan fan, whether it was the Wolverines or the Tigers. He loved NHRA drag racing & being by the lake. Don will be missed by his many friends & neighbours from Brantford, to Sarnia, to Lexington MI. Don was a integral member of the team at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Cambridge, ON, where he retired after 21 years of service. Don enjoyed gardening & was an avid groundskeeper. You could often find him behind a lawn mower tending to his yard. Don was never without his quick wit & always knew how to make people laugh. He had a generous spirit & always wanted to help others. His efforts will never be forgotten. Don very much loved spending time with his family & he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family wishes to extend our deepest thanks to the staff of the Brantford General Hospital Palliative Care unit for their kind support during this difficult time. A celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later date.
