Catherine Emily “Cathy” Arnold
Cathy passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at the age of 82, in Guelph, Ontario. Born on August 24, 1943, in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, Catherine led a life marked by resilience and dedication.
Over the years, Catherine embraced many roles with determination and grace. She worked as a seamstress, bus driver, welder, and nurse—each profession reflecting her adaptability and strong work ethic. Whether operating a sewing machine or caring for others in a clinical setting, she approached every task with commitment and care.
Her creativity shone through in her love for sewing and designing clothing. With attention to detail and skilled hands, she transformed fabric into beautiful garments. Catherine also enjoyed baking, often filling her home with the comforting aroma of homemade treats.
She found joy in playing bingo with her daughter and had a special fondness for neighborhood dogs who became her companions. Among her greatest joys was spending time with her family. She held deep affection for her great-granddaughters Isabel & Emma Kehoe, whose presence brought happiness to her later years.
Catherine is lovingly remembered by her sister Marion Reid; daughter Ann Marie Arnold and son-in-law Steve Blair; son Daniel Arnold; grandson Daniel Blair; granddaughter Katy Kehoe and Katy’s husband Justin Kehoe; and great-granddaughters Isabel and Emma Kehoe.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edwin “Ted” Arnold. Their enduring bond remains a cherished part of her legacy.
