CARLSON, Alice Beverley

Alice Beverley Carlson (nee Wallis) “Bevy”

December 16, 1946 – December 24, 2024

Passed away peacefully at William Osler, Brampton Civic Hospital, in Brampton, Ontario, in her 78th year. Dear wife of the late Richard M. Carlson, survived by her children Michele, Donna, Michael (Nicole), and Sue (Damon). She will be dearly missed by her sisters Diane Long (the late Garry), Linda Kelly (George), Judy Hooton (Clark), and Margaret Harpley (Donald). Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Cory (Megan), Sandra (Sean), Chelsea (Casey), Hailey and Cohen, and great grandchildren Natalie, William, and Jack, numerous nieces and nephews and her best friend Carol Sherwood (the late Phil).

Beverley was an avid baker and always had something freshly baked to offer family and friends. She was happiest while sharing many stories with her grandchildren about large family gatherings with her sisters at the cottage in Bracebridge, how she met Grandpa Rick, and about the White Rose gas station and store (Windy Ridge Corners) her Father (Russell Wallis) and Mother (Florence) owned at Kipling Avenue and Dixon Road in Etobicoke. Beverley also shared memories of her married life while traveling and living on Canadian Forces Bases in Chatham, New Brunswick, Southport, Manitoba and Toronto before retiring to Mississauga and then Bracebridge, Ontario.

In more recent years, Beverley was an avid Toronto Raptors and Blue Jays fan – sharing many conversations, statistics and her favourite players with her grandchildren.

Our family would like to thank the dedicated staff in the Oncology Ward at Brampton Civic Hospital for the care and compassion offered to Beverley during her final days.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated (https://www.cancer.ca).
