Budnark, Gerald

Gerald W Budnark 77, passed away 26 September 2024 with loving family and friends by his side at Brantford Memorial Hospital.
Known to all who knew him as ‘Jeremiah’, his passion in life was music. He was an active participant of the Brantford music community, both through his membership in the Brantford Music Association, as well as a number of musical interests. Jerry was an avid bass player regularly performing at  the Brantford Open Stage, as well as with Jensen And Friends, Jericho and Bob’d Wire. For more than 40 years Jerry has touched many lives as he shared performing and playing music, in so many places – and more importantly with so many people.  He especially loved teaching the young people, in the Arts After School Program, to play the bass guitar.
Jerry is lovingly remembered by partner Lynn, goddaughter Michaela, sister Cheryl, brother John, sister Marilyn and their families.
Jerry’s wish was to be cremated.  We know long drives on the open road gave Jerry serenity and happiness. And he didn’t like to be shut in or closed off. To honour and respect how important this was for Jerry, at a later date,  we will notify a small gathering of close friends and family to join together for scattering his ashes.
Brantford Open Stage will be doing a Celebration  of Life. The date and details to be determined at a later date. Please refer to the Brantford Open Stage Facebook page for all further details.
