BRINKMANN, Hans Dieter – Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday January 9, 2017 at the age of 61 after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Survived by his three girls – beloved wife of 28 years Irene, cherished daughter Jenna and his lovable cat Cora. Brother of Barb Monaco and Elisabeth (Larry) Gleason, Brother-in-law of Alex Monaco, Henry (Rina) D’Angela and Randy (Anrita) D’Angela, Son-in-law of Eugenio D’Angela, Uncle to six nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his friends and their families. Predeceased by his parents Bernhard and Herta Brinkmann (2007), mother-in-law Anna D’Angela (2016). Hans was retired from Stelco after 31 years of being an Electronic Technician at the steel plant. He was an avid cottager. He looked forward to his annual week up North with the boys. He loved buying and listening to music in all it’s forms – sharing it with others all his life. As per his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Special thanks to the VON Nursing Care Centre for making Han’s last year comfortable and to the dedicated staff in Palliative care at the BGH.
